How to care for your cabinets.

The following cabinet care information will help ensure your cabinets look great for years to come. Cabinets, just like furniture, should be cleaned dusted or vacuumed periodically. It takes just a small amount of effort to keep a kitchen looking brand new.

Cabinet spills.

Wipe up spills, splatters, and water spots as they occur immediately, keeping the cabinets dry.

  • soft, lint-free cloth.  Use a mild detergent or soap with warm water.
  • Dry surfaces immediately with a soft cloth.
  • Never use scouring pads, steel wool, or powdered cleaners.

Things to avoid.

Moisture is your enemy, make sure spills are not left to sit.

  • Products with bleach, ammonia, or abrasive additives are not a good idea
  • Do not allow oven cleaners to come into contact with wood surfaces.
  • Avoid using small kitchen appliances that may transfer heat to the counter

Like new cabinet shine.

If you want like new cabinet shine, use a furniture polish after cleaning. Polishes are usually applied using a soft cloth, then buffed to a shiny finish.
